IOT Needs A New Definition

The IOT concept is now a reality. But we have seen people facing outgaes and being locked out of their household equipments once their internet connection is out. This happens due to lot of reasons, internet cable broke, grid shutdown, routers/modems failing, etc. That was one extreme set of issues.

People are nowadays more concerned about their privacy.

IOT devices means privacy is at serious risk once your devices and data get exposed to the internet and rely upon third party services to command your equipments. In order to tackle this risk, people should be given devices that can take commands over local network and should be capable of extending their functionalities once they have internet connectivity.
